Zoloft (sertraline) can be prescribed by your health care provider if you experience unexpected attacks of fear (panic attacks), have been diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorder or premenstrual dysphoric disorder. In some cases suicidal thoughts are reported by young patients taking this medicine. To make sure the treatment is safe the doctors recommend showing up for appointments during at least three first months of the treatment. The patient is placed under a close observation. Taking more of this medicine will not make it more efficient. Instead you can experience worsening of some of your symptoms and some new side effects you did not have before.
